There's also the possibility that during my massive weight loss my cholesterol was just high since my fat deposits were being broken down and something has to carry the fat in my blood. The reduction now might also be related to my fat loss slowing down til I at least go up in reta dose

That’s not how cholesterol works. Fat lipolysis (“breaking down”) doesn’t raise serum cholesterol.
