Is it really necessary to sunbath daily while on the loading phase?

First time MT2 user here, currently on daily loading phase.: If I get “normal” UV exposure (working day, fully clothed) would I get tanned only on the body parts exposed? Is it really necessary to sunbath daily while on the loading phase?

You get tanned evenly everywhere even areas that are covered with clothing during UV exposure? Or do only the areas exposed to sunlight get tanned?

Someone warned me off not to use the mt2 without exposure as you get that weirdo orange color
